Consider this an early cross-quarter turn post. Early, because harvest round these parts begins in May or so and pitches to a dizzying pace by now….<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Below is how I experience the tumble from late winter to the point where all of us who live outdoors can tell though the days are long, the sun is slanting golden, winking goodnight seconds earlier each evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is the time of thanks for the bounty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greens, I mean the overwintering variety
Flowers from the overwintering greens – so nice in a sauce pan on a chilly rainy spring day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A berry and some greens
Greens, greens, greens, and more greens
Berries, berries, berries, did I already mention greens?
Berries, greens, greens, berries
One bean, two bean, so many beans
And still the greens
Birds can you please help a little more with the blueberries?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Potatoes come tumbling in just as….
One tomato, two tomato
And still the greens.
An apple, what already?
Figs, you too?
Oh and the greens…..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Harvest one day
Put up another
